Cosmetology

The Cosmetology program consists of a comprehensive education in cosmetology theory as well as clinic floor application. As a cosmetology student you will be provided an education in not only hair technology, but a complete education nail technology, as well. If you are seeking a well-balanced career in which you will be licensed to perform all services of the cosmetology field, this is the program for you.

Aesthetician

The Aesthetician program is offered to prepare the students to pass the Arizona State Board Cosmetology licensing examination and to prepare graduates to seek a profitable and enjoyable career in the field of Aesthetics. Upon completion of the aesthetics program, you will be trained to build a clientele by having the knowledge to do facial treatments and other skin treatments as well as being trained in ownership and management skills.

Nail Technology

The nail technology program consists of a comprehensive education in nail technology theory as well as clinic floor application. Students will have planned clinical experience in nail conditioning, cleaning, reinforcing, shaping, coloring and application of artificial nails.

Licensing Requirements for Cosmetology

To receive an Arizona license for the following categories you must submit proof of meeting the educational requirements for that category of license. Arizona State Board of Cosmetology requires proof of tenth grade completion, totaling a minimum of ten credits, two of which must be in English, or the candidate having proof of being at least 23 years of age.

(Department of Education requires students to have GED, or high school diploma)

You must complete the Arizona State Board of Cosmetology required training hours for your chosen license category at a school licensed by the Arizona State Board of Cosmetology. If you completed training outside of Arizona, your training hours must be substantially similar to Arizona's requirements and acceptable to the Arizona State Board of Cosmetology training hour and educational requirements as follows:

Instructor training: High school diploma or GED or proof of being 24 yrs. of age/650 hours

Class Starting Dates

All Beauty College begins new classes for its cosmetology programs on the first Monday of each month unless the first Monday is a holiday in which case they begin on the first Tuesday.

Cosmetology Licensing Agency
